Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Generation Project Manager to lead multi‑discipline teams on industrial, IPP, data center and utility projects. You will manage scope, schedule and budgets, coordinate with engineers, and support owner’s engineer activities.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 7+ years PM experience, and strong business development and leadership skills within the energy sector. HDR offers an employee‑owned culture and diverse project opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • At least 7 years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years in project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the project team, manage schedule and budget, coordinate with engineering disciplines, and provide engineering support for design and owner’s engineer projects.
  • Provide daily leadership to project team and ensure completion of project activities.
  • Develop the project work plan and execute to meet schedule, quality, and profitability goals; manage scope changes.
  • Maintain client relations and perform marketing, business development, and consulting activities with existing and new clients.
  • Act as proposal manager, review contract terms, assess risks, and develop the scope of work; conduct change-order negotiations and contract administration.
  • Provide training and mentoring to project staff on PM and consulting issues; routinely report progress to leadership.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
