Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and develop power generation projects, including natural gas and potential renewables, serving as owner’s engineer/advisor. The role demands strong client interaction, proposal leadership, and cross-discipline team leadership across the national Power Generation group.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in power projects, PE license, PMP certification, and proven business development skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
10+ years in power generation projects preferred
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent
PMP Certification preferred
Experience on simple cycle and combined cycle EPC projects as owner/engineer/contractor
Strong client relationship and business development abilities
Proficient in MS Office, project management tools, and scheduling software

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain positive client relationships and ensure project profitability
Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to successful completion
Provide leadership to project staff and coordinate with client and internal teams
Monitor budgets, schedules, and scope changes; prepare recovery plans as needed
Contribute to proposal development and review contract terms and risk
