Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead power generation projects across the United States, including natural gas and potential renewables. You will act as Owner’s Engineer/Advisor, drive client relationships, and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver scope on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of power generation project experience, PE license, and PMP certification, with strong communication and business development skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant power generation project experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer and PMP Certification.
• Experience designing or managing simple cycle and combined cycle EPC projects.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and ensure delivery per plan.
• Achieve project schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Lead proposal development, review contracts, and assess risks.
• Provide daily leadership to project teams and coordinate with clients and staff.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, and scope changes; implement recovery plans when needed.
• Provide training and mentoring on project management topics.
• Guide engineering and design work within your area of expertise.
• Report project progress to local and regional teams and stakeholders.
