Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks a General Superintendent – Power to lead field operations on natural gas and thermal power generation projects. You will ensure safe, high-quality delivery, manage subcontractors, and drive schedule, budget, and performance targets across all project phases.

As a senior field leader, you will coordinate with engineering, commissioning, and client teams, mentor field staff, and uphold JE Dunn’s values and safety standards on complex installations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 12+ years construction experience with major projects.
• Experience leading power generation projects (gas turbines, HRSG, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols (LOTO, energy isolation).
• Experience coordinating startup and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and operational oversight for power projects to ensure safety, quality and schedule.
• Direct field operations and manage subcontractors and site activities.
• Oversee project sequencing, means and methods, and QA/QC processes.
• Mentor field teams and liaise with clients, OEMs and engineering partners.
• Support project pursuit, pre-planning, and turnover packages with commissioning teams.
