RTX is seeking a professional Power Design Electrical Engineer to join the System Power, Analog and Controls Department in Huntsville, AL. You will design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry, guiding ECAD staff through PCB layouts and technical drawings with attention to schedules.

The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of experience in power electronics and analog design, including buck/boost converters, with a focus on reliability and safety for defense applications.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck‑boost.
• Experience with analog design including FET/BJT/Op‑amp circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry with attention to thermal effects.
• Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuits and drawings.
• Perform design work within schedule and present reviews to leadership.
