Job summary

Raytheon in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Power Design Electrical Engineer to lead power-converter design within the System Power, Analog and Controls Department. You will evaluate and test circuitry, considering thermal effects, and guide ECAD through PCB layout.

The role requires a STEM degree with at least 2 years of related experience and familiarity with linear converters, FET/BJT/Op-amp circuits. Onsite position with DoD Secret clearance requirements.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in design, analysis, simulation, and/or test with linear converters.
Experience with buck, boost, buck-boost converter topologies.
Experience with analog electronics design including FET/BJT/Op-amp circuits.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze (incl. thermal), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry using standard non-isolated topologies and modules.
Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
Perform design work within schedule and present reviews of data to program leadership.
