Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a highly skilled engineer to contribute to the Power Electronics & Controls team. You will work on power conversion circuitry, from concept through testing, collaborating with multi‑discipline colleagues to deliver robust solutions for aerospace applications.

The role emphasizes experience with analog designs, non‑isolated converters, and DC/DC/AC/DC conversion, with opportunities to influence hardware for telemetry and flight termination systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
• Experience with resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors and the ability to design with them.
• Experience with non‑isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck‑boost.
• Experience with analogue electronic design and analysis (FET, BJT, Op‑amps).

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze (including thermal aspects), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry.
• Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and drawings.
• Perform design work within a given schedule.
• Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and staff.
