Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL seeks a Power Electronics & Controls engineer to design and analyze power circuitry for aerospace applications. You will work on DC-DC converters, power modules, and analog control loops, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master’s in STEM and experience with power electronics, including thermal considerations and PCB layout guidance. On-site in the Huntsville area with DoD security clearance expectations.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
• Experience with low-level electronics components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and/or transistors.
• Experience with non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Experience with analog design and analysis including FET/BJT/Op-amp circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power circuitry.
• Guide ECAD personnel through PCB layout and drawing creation.
• Perform design work within given schedule and present reviews to leadership.
