Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Principal Power Engineer to lead power electronics developments for defense systems. You will design, analyze, simulate, and test power converters, and guide ECAD staff through PWB layout and technical drawings.

A STEM degree with 8+ years of experience and a Secret clearance are required. Responsibilities include delivering on schedule, presenting technical reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address EMI, thermal, and reliability

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years in design, analysis, simulation and/or test with linear converters.
• Experience with buck, boost, buck-boost non-isolated converter topologies.
• Experience with analog design including FET, BJT and/or Op-amp circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze (including thermal), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry including modules and discrete designs.
• Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and drawings.
• Work within project schedules and present technical reviews to leadership.
