Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Power Engineer to join the System Power, Analog and Controls Department in Huntsville, AL. You will design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry for DoD applications and guide ECAD teams through PWB layouts.

The role requires deep expertise in linear and non-isolated converters, analog design, and EMI considerations, with on-site responsibilities in Huntsville, Alabama.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with non-isolated converters: buck, boost, buck-boost.
• Experience with analog design: FET, BJT, Op-amp circuits.
• Lab experience in power electronics and controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry.
• Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout and drawings.
• Present technical reviews to leadership and staff.
• Support design within project schedules and constraints.
