Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL invites interns and new graduates to join the Effector Guidance Electronics team, focusing on power electronics and control systems. You will design, analyze, simulate, and test power conversion circuitry while collaborating with ECAD and engineering staff to meet project schedules.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work and familiarity with circuit simulators such as SIMPLIS, Saber and Mathcad, with opportunities across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Minimum of 30 credit hours by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Lab experience in power electronics and/or controls electronics preferred.
• Experience with circuit simulation and PCB layout tools (SIMPLIS, Saber, Mathcad).

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry.
• Guide ECAD personnel through PWB layout and technical drawing creation.
• Work within given schedules and present reviews to leadership and staff.
