Job summary

Schneider Electric is hiring a Field Service Representative to support power distribution and critical power infrastructure. The role combines field repair, startup, and preventive maintenance at customer sites with strong problem-solving and reporting responsibilities.

The position requires 2+ years in field service, the ability to read blueprints, and solid knowledge of AC/DC power. Travel, safety compliance, and teamwork are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, trade certification, or similar electrical-related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Thorough understanding of AC/DC power and components.
• 2+ years of field service repair and customer service with UPS systems.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent.
• Adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE.
• NFPA-70E or OSHA experience preferred.
• Safe driving and vehicle operation skills.
• Proficient with test and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience reading schematics and operation manuals.
• Ability to write service reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, and support teams.
• Completion of field service reports and data sheets; expense reports.
• Collaborate with Manager/Regional Service Director to resolve escalated issues.
• Continuous learning and training on products in field or classroom.
• Travel regionally or nationwide as needed; overnight travel may be required.
• Assist senior technicians and support Project Management on larger start-ups.
• Work with teams of Field Service Representatives on complex projects.
