Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on equipment at customer sites. The role emphasizes problem-solving, customer focus, and ongoing training with company-provided tools and vehicles.

The position is site-based with occasional nonstandard hours and an average 40-hour week plus overtime. Expect travel within the region and collaboration with cross-functional teams on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade certification or military training in electrical disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• 3–5+ years of field service repair and customer service with UPS, power distribution, switchgear, ATS or related equipment.
• 3–5+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Must adhere to safety procedures and report hazards.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Complete field service and expense reports and data sheets.
• Travel regionally or countrywide as needed for support.
• Assist senior technicians and support Project Management on larger start-ups.
• Collaborate with project managers on higher complexity projects.
• Resolve operational issues as required.
