Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative to join our U.S. Services team, focused on servicing power distribution and critical power infrastructure. You’ll perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on equipment at customer sites, with travel as needed.

The role requires 3–5+ years in field service, an electrical background, and strong problem-solving skills. We provide training, company vehicles, tools, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or vocational training in electrical disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC power and related components.
• 3–5+ years in field service repair and customer service with UPS systems.
• 3–5+ years in Field Services or equivalent.
• Safety training (NFPA-70E/OSHA) preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• English proficiency to communicate with customers.
• Valid driving license and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, and technical support teams.
• Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance, and startup data sheets.
• Collaborate with Manager or Regional Service Director to resolve escalated issues.
• Continuous learning and training on products both in the field and classroom.
• Travel may be required regionally or nationally to support customers.
