Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative in the United States to service power distribution and critical power infrastructure. You will perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on equipment at customer sites, collaborating with customers, electricians, and partners.

The role involves on-site work with occasional nonstandard hours, training in new products, and a focus on safety. Travel may be required to support regional customers.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or vocational training in electrical disciplines.
• Reading blueprints/schematics.
• Thorough understanding of AC/DC power and related components.
• Industrial/commercial electrical experience.
• 2+ years of field service repair and customer service with UPS/power systems.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, District Service teams.
• Completion of field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance, and startup data sheets.
• Work with Manager/Regional Service Director to resolve escalated issues.
• Continuing training on products both in the field and in the classroom.
