Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks a Field Service Representative to perform assembly, startup, diagnostics, repair and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment across customer sites. You will travel regionally, work with electricians, sales partners, and district teams to resolve issues and complete service reports.

We provide training, company vehicles, tools, and devices. The role emphasizes safety, customer focus, and continuous learning in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or trade certification or military training in electrical disciplines is required.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics is essential.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC power principles and related components.
• 2+ years of field service repair and customer service with UPS, power distribution, switchgear, ATS or related equipment.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Must follow safety practices and training; NFPA-70E/OSHA experience preferred.
• Valid driver and safe driving practices.
• Proficient in test/diagnostic equipment use.
• Experience reading schematics, drawings, and operation manuals.
• Ability to write service reports and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, and support teams.
• Completion of field service reports, expense reports, and startup data sheets.
• Collaborate with manager or regional service director to resolve escalated issues.
• Ongoing learning and training on multiple products in the field and classroom.
• Occasional travel with local or countrywide assignments.
• Support project management on larger system start-ups.
