Job summary

Schneider Electric is hiring a Field Service Representative in the United States to service power distribution equipment at customer sites. You will perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance, while collaborating with customers and partners.

This site-based role includes occasional nonstandard hours and travel; extensive on-the-job and classroom training is provided. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within the U.S. Services organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years field service repair and customer service with UPS systems, power distribution or switchgear.
• Read blueprints/schematics and interpret operation manuals.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power principles and related components.
• NFPA-70E or OSHA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Solve problems with customers, electricians, sales partners, and support teams.
• Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance sheets, and startup data sheets.
• Work with Manager/Regional Service Director to resolve escalated issues.
• Continual learning and training on products in the field and classroom.
