Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative to join our U.S. Services team. You will service, diagnose, repair and maintain power distribution equipment at customer sites, collaborating with customers, partners and internal teams.

This site-based role requires reading schematics, applying safety standards, and delivering meticulous field reports. Expect training in Dallas, TX, with travel across the region and occasional overnight trips.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, Military training or similar experience in electrical-related disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Thorough understanding of AC and DC power and related components.
• 2+ years of field service repair and customer service experience with UPS, power distribution, switchgear, ATS or related equipment.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Safety-focused with knowledge of safety procedures and compliance (NFPA-70E/OSHA preferred).
• Good driving record and basic computer skills; proficient with MS Office and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications.
• Troubleshoot with customers, electricians, and project teams.
• Complete field service and expense reports, PMs, and startup data sheets.
• Collaborate with District Service Manager on escalated issues.
• Engage in ongoing training and product knowledge updates.
• Travel regionally or nationwide for local or countrywide support.
