Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel and ensure adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA regulations. You will manage schedules, deploy staff efficiently, and drive continuous improvement in throughput and quality.

The role requires one year in manufacturing with poultry experience preferred; strong leadership and communication are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing setting; three (3) years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience: at least 1 year; 3 years preferred.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production line/department personnel to follow policies (HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs) and USDA/ OSHA regulations.
• Manage production schedules, adjust procedures, and meet budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reporting of departmental metrics (yields, attendance, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance for a safe, sanitary environment following USDA requirements.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Promote safety initiatives and require PPE in mandatory areas.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Understand and adhere to any current Union contract if applicable.
