Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage poultry debone and slaughter processing, directing a team through supervisors to achieve productivity and cost efficiency while meeting customer specs.

The role ensures food safety compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and USDA requirements, while optimizing yields, schedules, and budgets through proactive leadership and continuous improvement. Weekend and off-shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent AND 4+ years of relevant manufacturing experience, OR an Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ leadership and/or supervisory experience of 20+ persons.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 5+ years in food manufacturing with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist Production Supervisors with supervising and training employees while promoting quality and productivity.
• Manage production processes and employee performance with feedback, positive or corrective.
• Promote safety throughout the assigned work area, ensuring compliance with food safety programs.
• Review reporting requirements and ensure timely completion.
• Coach and train employees for professional development and performance improvement.
• Work with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe, sanitary environment per USDA requirements.
• Establish and adjust procedures to meet production schedules, efficiencies, and budget objectives.
• Maximize yields and throughput while minimizing downtime, accidents and turnover.
• Plan and implement process improvements and ensure HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs compliance.
• Support cost reduction through continuous improvement and employee involvement.
