Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a field supervisor to oversee breeder farms and flocks as a company representative to contracted growers. You will monitor house conditions, bird welfare and provide consultative technical advice to growers.

Responsibilities include evaluating grower operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines, tracking flock data, coordinating feed deliveries, and promoting safety to maintain a zero-accident culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Poultry Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years’ live poultry experience in a similar environment; regulatory requirements knowledge.
• Ability to identify noncompliance with guidelines and provide consultative recommendations to growers.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) and math skills.
• Strong customer focus and professional communication with internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; strong organizational skills.
• Self-starter with initiative and sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Company and contract growers, providing expert technical advice on farm specifications, litter management, sanitation, bio-security, and policies.
• Evaluate grower farms and flocks against company and regulatory guidelines; provide recommendations and follow up for implementation and compliance.
• Communicate any unacceptable conditions to management with recommended resolutions and next steps.
• Track, compile, analyze, and record data on flocks (weight, mortality, production, etc.).
• Monitor flocks for welfare, vaccination schedules, and adherence to company policies and regulations; report non-compliances.
• Maintain feed tank inventories and coordinate timely feed deliveries.
• Follow safety initiatives to maintain a zero-accident culture.
