Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms seeks a dedicated representative to oversee breeder farms and maintain high standards of bird welfare. You will liaise with contracted growers, assess farm conditions, provide expert recommendations and cost-improvement ideas, and monitor vaccination programs and feed logistics to support timely deliveries.

Role emphasizes strong communication, data analysis, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements in a dynamic poultry environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; an Associates degree in Poultry Science or related field preferred.
Minimum two years’ live poultry experience in a similar environment.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements around animal welfare and food production.
Ability to identify noncompliance and provide consultative recommendations to growers.

Responsibilities

Act as liaison between Company and contract growers, providing expert technical advice on expectations and specs.
Evaluate grower farm and flock conditions and provide recommendations to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
Communicate unacceptable conditions to management with proposed resolutions and follow-up steps.
Track and analyze flock data such as weight, mortality, egg production, and completion rates.
Monitor flocks for comfort and compliance with company policies, and report non-compliance or abnormalities.
