Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a field-based poultry supervisor to oversee breeder farms and flocks for contracted growers in Texas. You will provide expert technical advice, ensure welfare and regulatory compliance, and drive cost reductions for the company and growers.

The role requires evaluating farm conditions, tracking flock data, coordinating feed and vaccination programs, and promoting safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ live poultry experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of animal welfare and food production regulatory requirements.
• Ability to identify noncompliance and advise growers accordingly.
• Strong computer skills (Word/Excel) and math aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong organizational and detail orientation.
• Self-starter with urgency in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Company and contract growers with expert technical advice.
• Evaluate grower farms/flocks against guidelines and provide resolutions.
• Communicate unacceptable conditions and follow up on corrective actions
• Track and analyze flock data (weight, mortality, egg production, etc.)
• Monitor flocks for welfare, hatchability, culling, and compliance with policies
• Oversee vaccination programs and feed inventories; coordinate deliveries
• Promote safety initiatives and maintain PPE compliance
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
