Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a supervisor to oversee broiler farms and act as the company representative with contracted growers. You will monitor house conditions, bird welfare, and provide technical guidance to improve performance and reduce costs.

The role requires 2+ years in live poultry, regulatory knowledge, and strong communication in English. A HS diploma or higher is preferred, with safety and teamwork emphasized in daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years’ live poultry experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding animal welfare and food production.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel) and basic math.
• Strong customer focus with timely, professional communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter with initiative and urgency in a fast-paced setting.
• Customer-centric attitude and high energy level.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Company and contract growers, providing technical advice on expectations (buildings, equipment, litter, sanitation, biosecurity).
• Provide chick placement, catch and feed withdrawal times to growers.
• Monitor flocks for welfare and compliance with policies and regulations; report noncompliance.
• Track and analyze bird mortality rates; communicate anomalies to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain feed inventories and coordinate deliveries to growers.
• Follow and promote safety initiatives to maintain a zero-accident culture.
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
