Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Potable Water Design Project Manager to lead potable water treatment plant design projects and related studies in Illinois, including Naperville, IL. The role focuses on project leadership, client interaction, and technical guidance across multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in potable water design and a PE license in Illinois, with strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois required.
• 6+ years in potable water design and 2+ years in managing multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in proposals: scope, staff, fees, and risk.
• Review agreements and approve scope and fee.
• Build project teams and assign staff.
• Monitor schedule, budget, QA/QC and client satisfaction.
• Mentor project team and develop department standards.
• Lead multi-disciplinary potable water design projects.
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings.
• Develop client relationships and support business growth.
