Job summary

Baxter and Woodman Inc. is seeking a Potable Water Design Project Manager to lead water treatment design projects in Illinois, including studies, client development, and proposal support.

The role emphasizes team leadership, project coordination, and client engagement across multiple offices in Illinois. The position requires a Civil Engineering degree and IL PE license, with 6+ years in potable water design and 2+ years managing multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals including project plan, staff assignments, fee development and risk assessment.
• Review draft agreements and approve scope and fee.
• Build teams and assign staff to projects based on knowledge, skills and availability.
• Monitor project performance (client satisfaction, schedule, budget, billings, QA/QC).
• Assist with developing department standards and perform quality control review.
• Direct staff efforts and development according to plans and personal skills; support in achieving goals.
• Lead planning, coordinating and ensuring successful completion of projects.
• Lead single and multi-discipled projects.
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings to resolve questions and plan and coordinate work.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring of project team members.
• Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth.
