Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Potable Water Design Project Manager to lead design projects for potable water systems in Illinois. The role involves managing projects from inception through execution, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring client satisfaction.

The candidate will mentor project staff, develop client relationships, and coordinate with marketing, legal, and management to secure and execute projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in potable water design, including water treatment, storage, and supply design.
• 2+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary potable water projects.
• Member of professional and technical societies.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients, and the public.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Marketing in proposals: project plan, staff assignments, and fee development.
• Review draft agreements and approve scope and fee.
• Build teams and assign staff based on knowledge and availability.
• Monitor project performance: client satisfaction, schedule, budget, billings, QA/QC.
• Assist with developing department standards and perform QA/QC reviews.
• Direct staff efforts and development according to plans and skills.
