Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Potable Water Design Project Manager to lead potable water treatment plant design projects and studies, with a focus on Illinois markets. This role emphasizes client service, business development and team leadership.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering background, a Professional Engineer license in Illinois, and 6+ years in water design plus 2+ years in project management. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of potable water design experience.
• 2+ years of managing multidisciplinary water design projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois (P.E.).

Responsibilities

• Assist Marketing in proposals: project plan, staff, fees, risk.
• Review draft agreements and define scope/fee.
• Build teams and assign staff to projects.
• Monitor project performance: client satisfaction, schedule, budget, billings, QA/QC.
• Develop department standards and perform QC.
• Direct staff development and coaching.
• Lead single and multi-disciplinary projects and represent the company in client/agency meetings.
