Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Potable Water Design Project Manager to lead design projects, studies and business development with emphasis in Illinois. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring schedules, budgets, and client satisfaction are met.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree and Illinois PE license with 6+ years in potable water design and 2+ years of project management experience. Strong communication and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois.
• 6+ years of experience in potable water design; 2+ years in managing multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with proposals: project plan, staff assignments, risk assessment.
• Build teams and assign staff based on knowledge and availability.
• Monitor project performance (client satisfaction, schedule, budget, billings, QA/QC).
• Develop department standards and perform quality control reviews.
• Lead multi-disciplinary projects and coordinate client/agency meetings.
