Job summary

Morton Buildings is expanding its construction crews and employee-owners. The company leads in post-frame construction with 120 years in business and nationwide facilities. New crew members can earn an additional $2,000 in their first year, plus a $500 quarterly bonus during that year.

Salaries range from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience. Under the crew foreman, you will learn and apply safety and construction procedures, read plans, and use tools to construct buildings, including

Qualifications

• Building/post-frame construction experience preferred.
• Willingness to participate in a training program.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Available to work 9–10 hours during peak season.
• Ability to take direction and produce quality work.
• Comply with safety processes and operate tools safely.
• Operate construction tools and safety equipment.
• Lifting up to 50 lb regularly, up to 100 lb occasionally.
• Work at heights up to 40 feet in a physically demanding environment.
• Travel up to 80% (overnight possible).

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures.
• Read and build according to construction plans.
• Utilize tools and equipment to construct buildings safely and efficiently.
• Dig and install footings; frame walls and roof structures; install windows, doors, and siding/roofing materials.
• Collaborate with crew members in a safe, organized work environment.
