Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking an Inspector/Repair Technician to perform inspections and repairs on completed homes, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. The role offers hourly pay with overtime eligibility and a quarterly bonus at management discretion.

The position requires a high school diploma and 1–5 years in related work; strong computer, communication, and customer-service skills are essential. Travel and driving are involved, with a comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with basic academic and practical skills and 1–5 years of related work experience.
• Experience in homebuilding or customer service is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction processes and the home building industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCCV inspections and other inspections per standards.
• Address customer needs on-site and solve problems.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors to perform work.
• Initiate service work orders, monitor progress, and keep customers updated.
• Direct and supervise subcontractors to improve efficiency.
• Maintain service vehicle inventories and equipment.
• Participate in meetings to improve workflow and quality.
• Assist in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
