Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking a Service & Quality Inspector to perform inspections and repairs on completed homes, ensuring warranty compliance and customer satisfaction. You will coordinate with subcontractors, schedule work orders, and maintain service logistics to support timely, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a high school diploma with 1–5 years of related experience and/or supervisory exposure in customer service or construction processes. Travel and driving are involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with basic academic and practical skills.
• 1–5 years of related work experience and/or training.
• Related supervisory experience; knowledge of home building industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs PCCV and inspections per department and Company standards.
• May complete work orders and provide on-site problem solving.
• Contacts and schedules subcontractors to perform work as required.
• Initiates service work orders, sets appointments, monitors progress and keeps customers informed.
• Directs and supervises subcontractors to improve efficiency.
• Maintains service vehicle inventories and equipment.
• Participates in departmental meetings to discuss service issues and workflow.
• Assist in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
