Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a POS Field Service Technician to respond promptly to service requests at customer sites, troubleshoot POS hardware and related devices, and perform testing, repairs and documentation to ensure proper operation.

The role requires travel within roughly 150 miles, occasional overnight stays, after-hours availability, strong customer service, basic hand-tools, and a disciplined approach to recording work performed and parts used.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of technology service experience (Preferred)
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office (Required)
• Practical experience with electronics/technology hardware (Preferred)
• CompTIA A+ Certification (Preferred)
• CompTIA Network+ Certification (Preferred)
• Industry-Specific Certifications (Preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication, including communicating to non-technical end users (Required)
• Proficiency with common handheld tools and basic test equipment (Required)

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests timely, keep customer updated, document details and parts used
• Interact with store personnel and TRUNO team in a positive, clear manner
• Maintain regular hours and after-hours availability when needed
• Travel within a 150-mile radius with limited overnight travel
• Troubleshoot, fault isolate, repair, and test to verify proper functionality of in-store equipment
• Use basic power tools as needed in performance of duties
• Provide preventative maintenance to POS equipment and related hardware
• Perform basic configuration of software and hardware, and installs/upgrades
• Stay organized, prepared, and maintain professional appearance and conduct
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies
• Adhere to deadlines and manage company resources and assets
• Maintain knowledge on equipment sold and supported in your territory
