Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions seeks a POS Field Service Technician to ensure timely responses to service requests at customer sites within the assigned territory. You will troubleshoot and repair POS hardware and related devices, and perform thorough testing to confirm proper operation.

The role requires maintaining spare parts inventory, documenting activities accurately, and delivering professional service to store personnel.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in IT or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of technology service experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Familiar with Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with electronics/technology hardware preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair in-store equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests timely, keep customer updated, document details, and account for parts/equipment used.
• Interact with store personnel and Truno team positively and clearly.
• Maintain regular hours, with after-hours availability when needed.
• Travel within ~150 miles, limited overnight travel.
• Troubleshoot, isolate faults, repair, and test in-store equipment.
• Use basic hand tools and test equipment as needed.
• Provide preventative maintenance to POS equipment and other hardware.
• Configure software/hardware, and perform installs/upgrades as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies.
• Manage company resources including vehicle, credit card, fuel, and tools.
• Maintain knowledge on equipment sold and supported in territory.
• Take on additional duties as needed.
