Job summary

Fairstead is a purpose-driven real estate firm focused on affordable housing across the United States. The Portfolio Support Manager provides high-level administrative, operational, and analytical support to Senior Regional Managers and their teams in a multi-state portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in property management, strong analytical and organizational skills, and familiarity with LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 programs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in property management, with preference for affordable housing experience.
• Familiar with LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 programs is highly encouraged.
• Proficient in property management systems and data extraction.
• Project coordination or project management experience is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Travel approximately 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing administrative support to Senior Regional Managers and regional teams.
• Support documentation and coordination for capital projects and large-scale renovations.
• Assist with budget preparation, tracking, and budget variance reporting.
• Collaborate with property leadership and accounting to ensure accurate financials.
• Collect, review, and analyze historical income and expense data for properties.
• Prepare timely weekly, monthly, and quarterly property performance reports.
• Assist with due diligence for property acquisitions and presentations as needed.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for the portfolio.
• Identify trends and performance drivers; elevate insights to leadership.
• Gather and analyze market data including rent comps and local trends.
