Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Portfolio Community Manager to lead and oversee operations in a residential community. You will implement the Board’s mission, ensure legal compliance, and provide a single point of contact for residents and staff.

The role includes budgeting, staff supervision, and coordination with community partners. As a senior on-site leader, you will drive annual plans, monitor finances, and maintain strong communication with the Board to achieve community objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 3 years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction or equivalent.
• Seven years of community management experience, with at least 4 years leading staff.
• State-specific certifications/licenses preferred but not required.
• Experience managing budgets and financial planning for associations.
• Knowledge of condominium law and property management regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and state-m mandated vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction in developing short- and long-range plans and goals.
• Review organizational structure and functions; advise Board on changes.
• Partner with public, private and volunteer organizations to provide community services.
• Support Board sub-committees and ensure board-committee alignment.
• Lead day-to-day operations and oversee staff and operations.
• Create and manage annual operating budgets with Board approval.
• Monitor monthly financial position and report to the Board.
• Lead meetings with the Board; provide agendas and reports.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise staff per management plan.
• Coordinate with local emergency organizations and asset protection.
• Develop and implement community programs to meet homeowner needs.
• Stay current with trends in community management and programming.
• Maintain on-site visibility and ensure compliance with governing documents.
