Job summary

FirstService Residential in Wilmington, Delaware seeks a Portfolio Manager to lead community associations, align with the Board’s mission, and manage daily operations and staff across multiple communities.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of governing documents, and experience in budgeting, financial oversight, and compliance. On-site work in a multi-community environment with periodic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field with 3 years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction; state licenses preferred
• Seven years of community management experience with staff oversight
• Understanding of building management, condominium law, financial planning and law affecting property management

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to develop goals and plans for Board objectives
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with governing documents and budgets
• Manage staff recruitment, training and supervision of community personnel
• Monitor monthly financial position and report to the Board and committees
• Collaborate with emergency services and external agencies to support community needs
• Prepare annual budget with Board approval and ensure adherence to calendars and policies
