Job summary

NFI is seeking a Drayage Dispatcher in Long Beach, CA to plan driver utilization for container movements to and from port locations to customer facilities. The role requires coordinating in-house and sub-hauler fleets, maintaining strong relations with drivers, and ensuring timely load status updates.

Responsibilities include KPI reporting, driver settlements, and using the Trinium TMS to document interactions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 1 year of port drayage experience.
  • Experience with drayage/intermodal preferred.
  • Strong communication, verbal and written.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Gmail, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties for in-house and sub-hauler fleets.
  • Maintain positive relations with dispatchers and drivers.
  • Communicate service issues to facility departments.
  • Produce daily/weekly KPI data reports.
  • Manage operational inputs to support driver settlements.
  • Use Trinium system to address issues and document interactions.
  • Maintain sufficient sub-haulers to handle volume spikes.
  • Follow escalation processes for major service issues.
  • Respond promptly to driver or carrier needs.
  • Enter load status accurately and timely into the operations system.
  • Assist with safety, security, and operational program rollouts.
  • Ensure timely completion of daily and weekly tasks.
