Job summary

NFI in the United States seeks a Drayage Dispatcher to plan driver and owner-operator utilization for container movements to and from port locations to customer facilities. You will manage load planning, scheduling, dispatch, and KPI reporting.

The role requires port drayage experience, strong communication, bilingual English/Spanish, and proficiency with Trinium TMS, Outlook, Gmail, and MS Office. You will work in a fast-paced environment ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

Qualifications

• Must have port drayage experience with ocean container drayage customers.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year experience in drayage/intermodal business.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Customer-focused team player.
• Organized with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent follow-up skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provides load planning, driver scheduling/appointments, and dispatch duties for in-house owner operator fleet and sub-haulers.
• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all dispatchers and drivers.
• Communicates service issues to facility departments.
• Provides daily and weekly performance/KPI data reports.
• Manages operations inputs for driver settlement and settlement teams.
• Uses Trinium system to address issues and document interactions.
• Maintains sufficient sub-haulers to handle volume spikes.
• Follows escalation processes for major service failures.
• Responds promptly to driver or carrier needs.
• Enters load status accurately into the operations system.
• Assists with Safety, Security, and Operations program rollouts.
• Ensures timely completion of daily and weekly tasks.
