The role emphasizes developing business cases, scaling new products from lab to production, and providing hands-on support for trials, with about 30% travel and a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability in Dow’s polyurethane business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field (Ex. Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant working experience in rigid foam polyurethane products.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems with defined scope.
• Develops hypotheses, plans and executes experiments; interprets results.
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer sites.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Generates data to support intellectual capital and protects Dow’s IP when working with customers.
• Represents Dow Polyurethanes in external professional organizations and with customers.
• Documents work in internal reports and presentations.
