Job summary

Dow is seeking an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist for polyurethane rigid foams in Marietta, GA. You will lead technical interactions with customers, collaborate across technical, commercial and manufacturing teams, and support scale-up from lab to production while advancing sustainability goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field, 6+ years of experience, and US work eligibility. Travel ~30% and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field or military experience at US E5 / Canadian PO2/Sergeant.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience leading projects and formulating rigid foam polyurethane products.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Design value-creating solutions for customer problems with defined scope and impact.
• Develop hypotheses, plan experiments, run tests, interpret results and adjust accordingly.
• Provide technical support forDow products at customer locations and scale-up of new products.
• Collaborate across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Generate ideas and data to support IP development and protect Dow’s IP with customers.
• Engage with external professional organizations and represent Dow Polyurethanes.
• Document work in internal reports and presentations.
