Job summary

Dow Inc. in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced polyurethane formulator in rigid foams to join our product and application development team as a Technical Service and Development Scientist.

You will lead technical interactions with customers, collaborate across functions, develop new products, support trials, troubleshoot on-site, and scale from lab to production. Approximately 30% travel is expected, and clear communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field or equivalent military experience.
• 6+ years of relevant experience leading projects and commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems within defined scope.
• Plans and executes experiments; interprets results and iterates accordingly.
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer sites.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Generates ideas and data to support intellectual capital and protects Dow's IP.
• Engages with external professional organizations to stay abreast of technology and market trends.
• Documents work in internal reports and presentations.
