Job summary

Dow invites an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist to join the Polyurethanes team in Marietta, GA. You will lead technical interactions with customers and collaborate across R&D, commercial, and manufacturing to deliver solutions and knowledge on Dow products for rigid polyurethane foam applications.

You will develop new products, support trials, and assist in scale-up from lab to production while communicating findings clearly to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field (or equivalent military experience at or above US E5 ranking).
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience leading projects and formulating/commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems within defined scope.
• Develops hypotheses, plans and executes experiments; interprets results and refines hypotheses.
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of products at customer locations.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Protects Dow’s intellectual capital when working with customers; communicates results internally.
