Job summary

Dow is seeking an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist to lead customer interactions and develop polyurethane foam solutions at the Marietta, GA site. You will collaborate across technical, commercial and manufacturing teams to bring new products from lab to production, ensuring performance, growth and sustainability goals are met.

The role requires independent work and cross-functional teamwork, with 30% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field (or equivalent military experience).
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in rigid foam polyurethane products.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customers within defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses, plans and executes experiments; interprets results.
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer sites.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing functions.
• Generates ideas and data to support intellectual capital while protecting Dow's IP.
• Engages with external organizations to stay current on technology and market trends.
• Documents work in internal reports and presentations.
