Job summary

Dow is seeking an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist for polyurethane rigid foams, based in Marietta, GA. You will lead customer interactions, collaborate across technical, commercial, and manufacturing teams, and drive development from lab to production.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to deliver innovative solutions and support trials. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least 6 years of experience, and US work

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science related field; military equivalents accepted.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience leading projects and formulating/refining rigid foam polyurethane products.
US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

Design value-creating solutions for customers with defined scope and impact.
Develop hypotheses, plan experiments, interpret results, and adjust approaches.
Provide technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer locations.
Collaborate across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
Generate data to support intellectual capital and protect Dow’s IP with customers.
Engage with external professional organizations to stay updated on technology and market trends; represent Dow Polyurethanes.
Document work in internal reports and presentations.
