Job summary

Dow Inc. in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced polyurethane formulator in rigid foams to join our product and application development team as a Technical Service and Development Scientist.

You will lead technical interactions with customers and collaborate across functions to deliver solutions and provide technical knowledge on Dow products. In this role, you will work independently and with colleagues to develop business cases, scale up new products, and support trials at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience leading projects and formulating/commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for the customer in response to presented problems with defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses, plans & executes experiments, interprets results, and modifies hypotheses appropriately.
• Provides technical support for the trial and use of Dow products at customer locations and the scale-up of new products within Dow.
• Collaborates effectively across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing departments.
• Participates in the generation of ideas and data to support the development of intellectual capital and protects Dow’s intellectual capital when working with customers.
• Engages in external professional organizations to stay abreast of technology and market trends and represents the Dow Polyurethanes brand.
• Communicates and documents work in internal reports and presentations.
