Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an experienced polyurethane formulator in rigid foams to join its Product & Application Development team at the Marietta, GA site.

The role leads technical interactions with customers and collaborates across technical, commercial and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions and technical knowledge on Dow products. You will develop new products, support trials, troubleshoot at customer locations, and help scale up from lab to production assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science related field or equivalent military experience.
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant working experience leading projects in rigid foam polyurethane applications.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customers with defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses, plans, conducts experiments, interprets results and updates hypotheses.
• Provides technical support for Dow products at customer locations and scales up new products.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Protects Dow’s intellectual capital when working with customers and feeds ideas for IP development.
• Engages with external professional organizations to stay current with technology and market trends.
• Documents work and communicates findings through internal reports and presentations.
