Job summary

Dow invites a seasoned polyurethane formulator to join the product and application development team as a Technical Service and Development Scientist in Marietta, GA. You will lead customer interactions and collaborate across technical, commercial and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions and technical knowledge on Dow products.

You will develop business cases, scale up new products, and provide technical support for trials and application challenges while communicating clearly with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• 6+ years' relevant experience in rigid foam polyurethane formulations.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for the customer in response to presented problems with defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses, plans & executes experiments, interprets results, and modifies hypotheses appropriately.
• Provides technical support for the trial and use of Dow products at customer locations and the scale-up of new products within Dow.
• Collaborates effectively across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing departments.
• Participates in the generation of ideas and data to support the development of intellectual capital and protects Dow’s IP.
• Engages in external professional organizations to stay abreast of technology and market trends and represents Dow Polyurethanes.
• Communicates and appropriately documents work in internal reports and presentations.
