Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an experienced polyurethane formulator in rigid foams to join our product and application development team as a Technical Service and Development Scientist in Marietta, GA. You will lead technical interactions with customers to understand needs and collaborate across technical, commercial, and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions.

The role involves applying scientific methods to develop business cases and create new products meeting growth,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science related field or military equivalent.
Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience leading projects and formulating/industrializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems within defined scope and impact.
Develops hypotheses, plans and executes experiments; interprets results and refines hypotheses.
Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer sites.
Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
Documents work in internal reports and presentations and protects Dow’s intellectual capital.
