Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Sleep Technologist for the IL Sleep Center group in Chicago. The role involves preparing PAP masks, scheduling tests, and educating patients and physicians on sleep medicine.

The candidate should have experience with sleep study scoring and a strong focus on patient comfort and safety. This full-time night-shift position requires knowledge of sleep procedures, data collection, and the ability to work across multiple Sleep Centers.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a polysomnographic technician role.
• Must meet the AASM standard of 80% proficient in scoring with interscore reliability.
• Proficient at sleep study scoring.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Age-appropriate patient care knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Selects electrodes, probes and masks for sleep studies.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and documents results.
• Operates PAP/BiPAP and oxygen therapy as needed.
• Performs PSG procedures and data acquisition with artifact control.
• Sets up and scores home sleep tests and calibrations.
• Maintains equipment and supports staff across sites.
